Enjoy Music, Films, and More at The Warehouse Performing Arts Center

For an unforgettable evening at one of Charlotte’s most unique settings, head out for an evening at The Warehouse Performing Arts Center in Cornelius.  Since its beginning back in 2010, audiences have been enjoying performances for 6 seasons.  The Warehouse Performing Arts Center’s intimate venue holds 55 seats.  Because of this intimate setting,  the audience and performers get up close and personal.  The Warehouse PAC presents unique programs nearly every weekend and also on many weeknights.

The Warehouse Cinema

The Warehouse Cinema is formerly known as Studio C Cinema.  The Cinema presents independent, foreign, and classic films.  Because they use an HD projector and a 7.1 Surround System, the state-of-the-art equipment creates a quality theatrical experience.  Films shown at the Cinema are those not normally found at your local movie theater.  Most films feature a post-film discussion and Q and A session.  In addition to films, the Cinema offers classes in cinema history, film culture, and filmmaking.

The Warehouse Theatre and Live Shows

A show at the Warehouse Theatre is more than just plays.  An evening spent at the Theatre can include readings, improv, and stand-up comedy.  This November 4th, Opera Carolina will perform Connection Lost.  The show begins at 8:00 pm.  Beverages will be provided by D9 Brewery.  Running from November 4th through the 19th is a play by Michael Brady.  To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday is the story of a widower and his daughter and how they learn to grieve and move on from the loss of their beloved Gillian.

The Warehouse Institue

The Warehouse Institute hosts workshops for adults.  This past July, the Institute put on an Intro to Improv workshop for adults ages 55 and older.  There were also 2 successful writing courses.  These workshops included a Memoir Writing Camp and Seeds of a Story writing workshop for youth.  In addition to workshops, other courses found at the Institute include acting, filmmaking, and technical theater.

The Warehouse Music

Because of the intimate space at The Warehouse PAC, the music scene is small.  Performances include genres like folk, jazz, and Baroque.  Stay tuned for more information about upcoming music performances coming soon.
