Why You Need to Check out a Davidson College Basketball Game This Season

The Coach

The coach of the Davidson Wildcats is a huge reason why they have seen so much recent success and continue to look promising. Coach Bob McKillop has led the men’s basketball team since 1989, making him the longest tenured coach in the school’s history! “The Silver Fox,” as he’s called, trained Steph Curry and brought the team to a total of 9 NCAA Tournaments so far. We look forward to seeing what he can bring this season!

The Legend

If you follow basketball, you’ve heard of Stephen Curry. What you might not know is that he attended Davidson College before his career in the NBA! He set multiple records at the school before his first-round draft to the Golden State Warriors. Recently, Davidson College built a student section dedicated to Steph, which is always packed and full of excited fans. You may likely even see him show up for a few games throughout the season!

The Trophy Shelf

Another reason why you’re likely to have a memorable experience at their games is their long list of previous successes. The Wildcats are a juggernaut in the sports industry and show no sign of slowing down. This division I team recently won their first-ever Atlantic-10 championship after going 21-12 in the 2018 regular season! They’ve been to 14 NCAA Tournaments, and are hoping to make it 15 this year!
