1. Lake Norman
If you only have time to visit one of our fantastic North Carolina fall foliage viewing spots, it should be Lake Norman. Our massive lake is home to miles of gorgeous coastline that you can access in Lake Norman State Park. Here you can bike, hike, or go for a leisurely walk under an array of fall colors. You can also it the water and rent a kayak or try your luck at fishing. There are also several fantastic places to dine on the lake, so you can soak in magnificent views of the water and foliage while savoring delectable cuisine.

2. Lake Davidson Nature Preserve
If you don’t want to drive further than five minutes from our Inn, the Lake Davidson Nature Preserve is a fantastic place to take in the fall foliage in North Carolina. This small lakefront park is full of towering trees and quiet spots to relax during the fall season.
3. Roosevelt Wilson Park
Charming Roosevelt Wilson Park is the perfect spot near Davidson to enjoy a casual stroll in the fall. It’s less than a 15-minute walk from our Inn and is home to a pond and acres of quiet tree-shrouded land. Keep an eye out for a variety of beautiful bird species while leaf-peeping. It’s an excellent spot for a romantic picnic, too!
4. Davidson College
The Davidson College campus is one of the best places to view fall foliage in North Carolina during peak leaf season. Wander along the tree-shrouded pathways weaving through the many beautiful buildings during a crisp afternoon. The campus is right across the street from our Inn, so it’s easy to access for guests. Fall also means that football and basketball host their respective sporting events on most weekends!
