1. Historic Rural Hill

2. Reedy Creek Nature Preserve
2986 Rock River Rd, Charlotte, NC 28215
Located on Rocky River Road in Charlotte, NC, the Reedy Creek Nature Preserve protects over 900 acres of forested, natural habitat within the park. For those who love nature and the outdoors, this perverse has several hiking trails around lakes, forested areas, fields, and streams. 3. Lake Norman State Park
759 State Park Rd, Troutman, NC 28166
The Lake Norman State Park offers a single-track 30.5-mile trail that is great for mountain biking. Additionally, the park offers opportunities to boat, fish, swim, and simply enjoy nature. They even have a community building equipped with kitchen and bathroom facilities plus a fireplace which can be rented out for private events.
4. Winget Park

Formerly known as the Thomas McAlister Winget Park, this 150-acre park offers many different facilities for both relaxing and adventurous days. Whether you want to enjoy a nice picnic with your family or play a round of horseshoes in the horseshoe pit, you’re guaranteed to have a pleasant day.
5. Nevin Community Park
6000 Statesville Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269
Located right next to Ranson Middle School in Charlotte, Nevin Community Park is an urban park. It features lighted baseball and soccer fields, horseshoe pits, bocce ball courts, and more. This park also has a great trail for hiking, biking, and/or bird watching.
6. Frazier Park

If you head down West Fourth Street Ext, you will find the beautiful Frazier Park! This 12-acre urban park has a lot to offer its guests and a visit to the community garden is a must! The park offers soccer and American football fields, tennis and basketball courts, and more.
7. Ramsey Creek Park

Just outside of Charlotte, you will find the town of Cornelius which is home to Ramsey Creek Park. With beautiful views of Lake Norman from nearly every area, you can enjoy a beautiful, scenic day at this lakefront park. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking, and of coure, picnicking.
8. James Boyce Park

Right behind Charlotte Preparatory School, lies the spacious James Boyce Park. Although located within the Charlotte city limits, this park has the feeling of being out in nature rather than in an urban setting. 9. Rama Road Park
