Traveling to North Carolina in 2020

Like most states, North Carolina and the Davidson Village Inn are following the state’s recommended guidelines on travel. This is a “new normal” for all of us. We will do our best to keep you up to date as the state begins phased openings in the coming months. Here are answers to some common questions as you plan traveling to North Carolina in 2020.

Can I travel to North Carolina?

Yes, the borders are open!

What are the North Carolina travel restrictions?

North Carolina’s Governor has enacted Phase Two reopening. That means you can travel to NC and stay as an Inn guest, but you should continue to follow all social distancing guidelines. The Governor’s Executive Order 141 states that an Inn can be open, but individuals should practice social distancing and other COVID-19 mitigation measures, such as using EPA-approved disinfectants for COVID-19 to be used in all traffic areas and other measures to ensure rooms are properly sanitized between customers.

What steps is the Davidson Village Inn taking to mitigate exposure to COVID-19?

We continue to take exceptional care in our sanitation practices. Davidson Village Inn has an Environmental Health grade of 100% and our Hospitality and Food Sanitation grade is 98%. We also earned the Inspector’s Best of Housekeeping in 2020 awarded by AAA, and have a 5-Star Rating for Cleanliness on TripAdvisor. What if I need to cancel because I’m sick?

You must cancel at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival to avoid charges, but we can work with you on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us for more information.

How can I safely check in upon arrival?
