About Lake Norman
Lake Norman is the largest man-made lake in the Carolinas, providing endless fun to visitors and residents alike. Several public parks offer access to the lake as well as hiking and biking paths, picnic areas, and other facilities. There is no better way to spend your day than with a fishing rod at Lake Norman. Anglers from all over come to the lake, not only to participate in fishing tournaments but also to relax and practice their fishing techniques. In this lake, you can find catfish, crappie, striped bass, largemouth bass, and yellow and white perch. Spend some time perfecting your casting with the chance to catch a record-winning fish. Many visit during the early summer when temperatures start to warm up, but those brave and willing to come during winter or spring will have the opportunity to catch an abundance of fish.
