Bring your furry friend out for the day and head over to the Preserve Dog Park. This park is located on O’Henry Avenue. The Preserve Dog Park is fully enclosed, offers a hiking trail and a natural area. Dogs who visit this park must have a current Davidson dog tag and an updated rabies vaccination.
Faulkner Square Park is a peaceful location to unwind with a good book or enjoy a picnic. The atmosphere is beautiful with the white trellis, garden beds, and benches to sit down and relax. This park can be found in the St. Albans neighborhood on South Faulkner Way.
Parham Park is a 5-acre park that sits on the shores of Lake Cornelius. The park offers visitors 14 exercise stations and also a walking trail. There is a small lawn area perfect for either playing or picnicking. You can even launch canoes on the lake.

You are sure to see plenty of geese on your outing to Roosevelt Wilson Park. Because there are boardwalks and paved walking trails, there are plenty of places to get in a good workout. Roosevelt Wilson Park is located on Griffith Street and makes for a fun outing for the whole family.
Mountain bikers of all skill level will enjoy a visit to Fisher Farm Park. This 200-acre park offers 4 miles of mountain bike trails. Located on Shearer Road, this park also offers trails for walkers and areas to see local plants and plenty of wildlife.
Neighboring town Cornelius is home to Ramsey Creek Park. This park is 46-acres and home to the area’s only swimming beach. In addition to the beach, there is a playground, volleyball court, enclosed dog park, picnic shelters, and nature trails. During the summer months, there is a small fee to enter the park. Ramsey Creek Park is located on Nantz Road and is open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
