For a charming small town, Davidson has some pretty high-class entertainment in Davidson College Division I athletics. As each summer winds down here at the Davidson Village Inn, we start to hear the whistles of pre-season from our neighbors across the street at the College and begin to anticipate the upcoming seasons of both Davidson College Football and Soccer. This summer is no different as we look forward to seeing our stunning Wildcat student-athletes back in action come September.
Davidson College Football is already boasting a promising season to come with five team members named Preseason All-Americans, some of them for the second consecutive year. Highlights among the players of the Davidson College Soccer team are goalkeeper Matt Pacifici who has been training with the USL Pro Charlotte Independence throughout the summer months to not only stay in shape but pursue his goals of playing professionally following his final season at school. In the meantime, he is putting in long days as an investment banking intern. Davidson athletes are known for being as studious off the field as they are hard working on it.
