Famous Toastery is a very well-known eatery here in Davidson, North Carolina. This location is the flagship store and is within walking distance from Davidson Village Inn. Hello, Sailor
Joe and Katy Kindred recently opened their 2nd restaurant, Hello, Sailor in Cornelius. Hello, Sailor is already a huge success after its much-anticipated opening. This new concept took over the former Rusty Rudder building overlooking Lake Norman. Their Seattle inspired menu includes everything from oysters to catfish and also calabash. They even make a fried bologna sandwich for non-seafood lovers. The outdoor deck is sure to be a hit with the lake crowd once the weather starts to warm up.
Kindred Restaurant
Kindred Restaurant is a family owned and operated restaurant that has been a local favorite since 2015. Their menu is inspired by the seasons. As a result, their menu changes weekly. They also use fresh local ingredients. Reservations can be made Tuesday through Saturday for dinner from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Kindred is closed on Sunday and Monday.
Mandolino’s Artisan Pizza
Mandolino’s Artisan Pizza is Davidson’s newest pizza place. Mandolino’s took over the former Millstone Bake House location on Main Street. Because this new pizza restaurant is owned by the same owners as Brickhouse Tavern, it is sure to be a great place to enjoy a meal. They offer fresh house-made salads and specialty pizzas like the Tupelo Honey in addition to build your own pizzas.
Mestizo
A contemporary take on Mexican cuisine, Mestizo operates on its own level. Outside of the unbeatable location on Main Street, the charming atmosphere and fantastic food are sure to keep you coming back. They, somehow, seem to capture both originality and authenticity at the same time!
