● What time is check-in and check-out? Check-in is at 3:00 pm, and Check-out is at 11:00 am.
● Is parking free? Yes. Complimentary parking is available right outside the inn at no charge.
● Is breakfast included, and what time is it served? Yes, a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast buffet is included with every stay, featuring Summit Coffee, premium teas, and locally made baked goods. Breakfast hours are from 7 am to 9 am on weekdays and 8 am to 10 am on holidays and Weekends. Non-guests may join for an extra fee.
● Is the inn pet-friendly? We welcome certified service animals only. Therapy and emotional-support animals and pets are not permitted. Guests must be able to describe the function the service animal performs at the time of booking.
● Do you allow smoking? The entire inn is non-smoking. A designated smoking bench is located just outside.
● Is there free Wi-Fi? Yes, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the inn.
● What is your cancellation policy? Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before your scheduled arrival to avoid charges. There is a different cancellation policy for groups.
● What happens if I arrive after 10 p.m.? Our doors lock at 10 p.m. Guests arriving later should contact us in advance for late-arrival procedures; once checked in, you’ll receive a fob for after-hours access.
● How do I book during Davidson College Graduation or Family Weekend? These prime dates use a lottery system. Book about a year ahead for Graduation and a few months ahead for Family Weekend; returning guests receive priority.
● Is there a minimum age to book? Guests must be 21 or older to stay without parental supervision. A government-issued ID is required at check-in.
● Can you hold a block of rooms for a wedding or event? Yes. Room blocks must be guaranteed to a valid credit card and are released 30 days out if unassigned.
● How close is the inn to Davidson College/downtown? We’re in downtown Davidson, directly across from Davidson College and within walking distance of Main Street’s shops, restaurants, and galleries — no car needed.
● What’s nearby — Lake Norman and Charlotte? Lake Norman is minutes away, and Charlotte is about 30 minutes south.
● What room types and bedding do you offer? King, Queen, Twin, Family Suites, Executive Suites, noting kitchenette features (mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker).
● Do you have meeting or event space? Yes — The Cellar Meeting & Wine Tasting Room seats about 10 and includes video conferencing and high-speed internet.
● Do you offer wine tastings/afternoon tea? — Afternoon tea is available for free on request. We have a Wine Station featuring four wines available for purchase in 1-ounce, 2.5-ounce, and 5-ounce pours, open from 11 am to 9 pm daily!
